To be played on Monday, May 5th
Wynnum Wolves FC will host a MiniRoos Catch-Up Round on Monday, May 5th to play all missed games from last Saturday’s washed-out MiniRoos season opener. Football Queensland has granted approval for all MiniRoos matches previously scheduled for Carmichael Park on Saturday, April 26th to now be played on Monday, May 5th — the public holiday of the Labour Day long weekend.
We know just how excited all our MiniRoos teams were to start their season — and how disappointed they were about Saturday’s cancellation due to the sodden fields — so this plan means our 8s to 12s do not have to miss their fixture. Thanks to Football Queensland for granting our request. The May 5 draw at the Wolf Den will be an exact replica of the one published for April 26th.
Can all Wolves MiniRoos teams please communicate their availability to play these matches to our MiniRoos Co-ordinator, Grant McCoy, via miniroos@wynnumwolvesfc.com.au.
Grant will co-ordinate fill-in players and coaching support where necessary if some families are away for the long weekend.
Opposition clubs are asked to reach out to our club General Manager, Phil Quaile, via gm@wynnumwolvesfc.com.au to advise if their teams are ready and willing to play on Monday, May 5th.
Our Wolves staff will work to fill any vacancies in the draw throughout the week to ensure all teams are able to play their games.
