WHO DOESN’T LOVE A “KLASSIKER” DERBY?
Wynnum Wolves FC will once again be joining with the best of the Bundesliga on Saturday, November 30th to celebrate the German Klassiker – the first big Borussia Dortmund v Bayern Munich clash of the 2024/25 Bundesliga season in Dortmund.
As a club partner of BVB, Wynnum Wolves FC will be proudly flying the black and yellow on November 30th as it builds on the success of last year’s inaugural Klassiker event at Carmichael Park to do it all again for the new season.
We will once again be hosting a Borussia Dortmund v Bayern Munich Mini Fan Tournament on the afternoon of Saturday, November 30th from 4pm onwards into the early evening. There will be tournament-style Mini-Matches for our Under 8s to Under 13s across the afternoon in two competition age groups – 8s to 10s and 11s to 13s. We’ll also be adding a host of fun events including juggling competitions, crossbar challenges and other fun activities for a host of wonderful prizes. Some tasty German fare will also be included on our fabulous Wolfy’s canteen menu for the day.
Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Muinch, the Bundesliga, and some of our fantastic sponsors including Wilo will add to the amazing prize pool for the event. We also urge you to stay tuned for more news about other event inclusions over the coming days. And what’s even better, entry to players to participate in the event will be FREE. Boys and girls – aged 8 to 13 – will be invited to nominate very soon for this fun event to round out the 2024 Season at Wynnum Wolves FC. Club members will be given the first opportunity to register for a team before we open up to outside registrations – if there are any places remaining.
The occasion will also be the very first time club members and fans will be able to see or our 2025 First team squad in action with an internal training game planned for the evening.
Our First team players will be there to support our juniors in their games before they play an internal match in the evening. The two finals of the Mini tournament will be played at halftime of the men’s internal game.
Stay tuned to our socials and our website www.wynnumwolvesf.com.au for more details about the event. All current 8s to 13s at the club will be receiving an email very soon to register their interests to play in this fun club event on a “first in best dressed” basis.
