The Wynnum Wolves FC community is proudly getting behind this year’s National Recycling Week by challenging its members to not only embrace recycling but also support two wonderful charity projects at the same time.
The club is appealing to all members to be mindful of recycling responsibly while at the club grounds, ensuring that all recyclable items are placed in the correct bins: blue and yellow for recyclable cans, glass, and plastic bottles, and green for general waste. All bins around the grounds are clearly marked.
As announced in October, Wynnum Wolves FC will champion two fantastic local charities during the 2025 season to help families in need in the Bayside area. The club is committed to reaching out to its football membership and network, as well as the broader Bayside community, to raise $100,000 for The Mini Farm Project and StandByU Foundation
To kick off fundraising efforts and tie into National Recycling Week, from this week until the end of 2025, Wynnum Wolves FC will donate all funds raised through the Containers for Change bins located around the club’s facilities to these two amazing charities.
There are currently 10 Containers for Change bins across our Carmichael Park facilities, all of which are clearly identifiable by their blue body and bright yellow lid.
We encourage all community members who would like to support the club’s fundraising efforts to bring their recyclable containers from home and add them to one of our many Containers for Change bins located around the fields and facilities. If you’re unsure which containers are eligible for the 10c refund, take a look at the image below that shows what can and can’t be accepted!
This recycling effort is just one small way that every member of the club can contribute to supporting these two very worthy causes the club is getting behind.
