We’re proud of the fields and facilities we now enjoy at Carmichael Park which has been the home of our century-plus old club since the early 1990s.

The football footprint at Carmichael Park features four full-sized football pitches – all under lights – which are used seven-days-a-week by our 1300 plus playing members plus other community users. We have also added a quality fifth field which caters for Under 10-12 matches and doubles as an additional and much needed training space for our growing club. New LED lighting has been added to all five fields to coincide with the club’s entry into NPL.

Wolves has invested heavily in the refurbishment of all the playing surfaces at Carmichael Park over recent seasons with the support of the Brisbane City Council and State Government funding and is proud of the pitches all our teams now able to train and play on. Due to the quality of our fields, Carmichael Park is now a sought-after facility for many major football events.

Over the past three years Carmichael Park has successfully played host to Queensland Schoolboys and Schoolgirls Football Championships for all ages from Under 12s through to Opens, as well as Corporate Games and other one-off carnival and school football events. A National Schoolboys event was also played at the club in 2024 in addition to other significant events in the planning stages.

New fencing and netting now surrounds all five fields. Strategic fencing also frames the club’s entrance and walkways. Coupled with distinctive Wolves’ branded signage this has created a unique training and playing environment all members of the club can enjoy and take pride in. The completion of a dedicated goalkeeper training area adjacent to Field 3 is also imminent.

Current facilities at our grounds include two dressing room blocks on each side of the complex which have recently been refurbished. Adjacent to Field 1 – Wayne Gracey Field – there are four dedicated dressing rooms and a newly refurbished referees’ room with its own toilet and bathroom. In addition, this block features a video analysis /meeting room plus a new refurbished medical room and laundry room. This block mainly caters for teams using Fields 1 and 2 at Carmichael Park.

Located next to Field 3 – Eddie Wilkins Field – there are four large dressing rooms which have recently been refurbished, plus an additional referees’ room. Teams playing and training on Fields 3 and 4 generally use these dressing rooms. Large new dugouts have been added to Fields 1, 2 and 4 at the grounds over recent seasons while the original Field 3 dugouts have been refurbished.

Two weather-proof two-story video towers have been erected between Fields 1 and 4 and Fields 2 and 3 to enable videoing and livestreaming of matches on all fields from an optimal height. Installation of the new dugouts and video towers has expand all-important storage space for training equipment. A new video screen and scoreboard has been installed on Field 1 and the old screen will be reinstalled facing Field 2 in due course.

Club members and visitors alike a now all are welcomed to Carmichael Park by a new state of the art LED screen at the nexus of our main two fields. This screen not only welcomes everyone to Carmichael Park but displays draws, field allocations for training and games, club information, videos and photos.

Brisbane’s massive rain and flood event in February 2022 devastated the existing clubhouse buildings at Wynnum Wolves FC, which were under refurbishment at the time. The flood-damaged building was demolished at the start of the 2023 season. Temporary facilities have been put in place to ensure the club remains vibrant and operational until our new Football Centre of Excellence can be built.
