Following the success of the NPL Men’s BBQ in December, the first Saturday of this month saw our FQPL Women roll up their sleeves for charity, this time in support of The Mini Farms Project.

The Mini Farms Project is one of the two charity partners Wynnum Wolves will be supporting in 2025. This incredible initiative is dedicated to combating food insecurity by establishing a network of charity farms across Queensland and Australia, aimed at helping to feed Australians in need.

Our FQPL women, alongside players from our girls’ academy teams and supporters of the Mini Farms Project, cooked up a storm, managing to sell over 60kg of sausages and raising more than $2,600.

Both BBQ events are part of the club’s ongoing commitment to its 2025 charity partners: The Mini Farms Project and StandbyU Foundation. Wynnum Wolves FC has set a target to raise $50,000 for each charity throughout the 2025 season.

A huge thank you to Underwood-based Mabrouk & Sons Halal Meats, who generously donated over 100kg of sausages across the two BBQs, significantly contributing to the fundraiser’s success.
